Rescue Dog Goes Missing From New Home, Walks Back To Shelter 10 Miles Away

A rescue dog went missing from her new Texas forever home and ended up at the shelter she was adopted from.

The Animal Rescue League of El Paso says Bailey walked 10 miles to the shelter after leaving her new home two days earlier.

Then, the smart pup rang the doorbell with her nose! Shelter staff looked at the Ring video and saw Bailey waiting to be let in.

Shelter founder Loretta Hyde says "She slept so hard the whole night," Hyde said. "The next morning she was like, 'You can serve my breakfast over there. I'll get it in a minute. I'm still resting.' So three days without food and water, I mean, she was making up for her rest."

Bailey has been reunited with her family and is fine.
