Popular TikTok food critic Keith Lee is back at it again, this time helping to turn the tides for a struggling Korean restaurant in Las Vegas whose owner is also battling cancer. Lee recently got an email from an employee of Dynamite Korean Street Food & Sushi/Grill asking him to help the struggling restaurant and its owner Jong Park.
Park had fulfilled his dream of opening a restaurant in America only to find out that he had stage four neck cancer, but he was still showing up day in and day out to cook while also getting cancer treatments. Lee made a take-out order from the restaurant and posted a video of him reviewing the food. Lee gave his signature honest review and rated the food between seven and nine out of ten and overnight business exploded at the restaurant.
Keith posted a follow-up the next day. That day, Dynamite Korean got more than five times as many customers coming in and they went from five followers on TikTok to more than 80,000. In the following days, Park’s son Steve, created a crowdfund because people had been asking how they could help the family and it’s raised almost $40,000. Steve couldn’t thank Keith enough for what his review did for his family. “From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much, Keith,” he says.
