In the aftermath of back-to-back historic snowstorms in the San Bernardino Mountains, Mark and Cynthia Rutledge were snowed in at their Crestline, California, home for 18 days.
Fortunately, Juli McDermott, a neighbor they’d never met, realized the couple was still in their home and alerted the community on social media, leading to their rescue.
After having lived in Crestline for 27 years and have never experienced snow this bad, they were grateful that their “new best friend” was looking out for them.
