“Hero” 9-Year-Old Honored For Saving Mom’s Life

When Aria Lamen‘s mom passed out at their Aurora, Illinois, home on February 2nd, the nine-year-old stayed calm, called 911, and stayed with her mom until paramedics arrived.

Before riding to the hospital with her mom in the ambulance, she made sure the dog was put up, locked their home, and then filled EMTs in on her mom’s medical history.

Earlier this week, Aria was recognized by the City of Aurora for her bravery and composure in the face of a medical emergency, but no one is prouder than Aria’s mom, who says she wouldn’t have survived without her.
