Teen Drives 6 Hours To Shop For Prom, Owner Gives Her $700 Dress

When Elyse Monroe set out to get a prom dress, the plus-size teen didn’t have many options, so she drove six hours to Juicy Body Goddess Boutique in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The store’s owner, Summer Lucille, helped the shy teen try on several dresses and she found the right dress, but it was $700 and her budget was $400.

At the register, Lucille told her the dress would be free and a video of the touching moment has been viewed over 14 million times and led to more than $12,000 in donations from people wanting to support the next girl who needs a dress she can’t afford.
