“Rick & Morty” co-creator Justin Roiland received some vindication in the courts yesterday. The domestic violence charges against the writer were dismissed due to “insufficient evidence.”

“I have always known that these claims were false – and I never had any doubt that this day would come,” said Roiland. “I’m thankful that this case has been dismissed but, at the same time, I’m still deeply shaken by the horrible lies that were reported about me during this process."

While details have been kept mostly under wraps about the case, Roiland was fired from “Rick & Morty” following the news that he was arrested and charged for the offense in 2020. The writer now says he plans to “move forward” personally and professionally.
