Fishing Tournament Cheaters Plea Guilty

Two men who attempted to cheat their way to victory in last September's Cleveland Championship fishing tournament have pleaded guilty to charges in the matter.

Anglers Chase Cominsky and Jake Runyan were initially declared as the winners of the contest but were later disqualified from the event and denied the more than $28,000 prize after part of their catch was cut open and it was discovered that weights had been inserted to enhance the weight of the fish.

Cominsky and Runyan were convicted Monday on charges including cheating and attempted grand theft.

Sentencing has been scheduled for next month.
