There’s nothing like fishing in the open seas until you catch what you don’t expect.
Scott Housel, captain/owner of Sudden Strike Offshore Adventures, said he and his group were fishing near Ponce Inlet in Volusia County, Florida on Thursday when there was a big bite.
It was a great white shark. It had been circling the bait for a while before taking it.
Housel says it was once in a lifetime. He noted, “I've been fishing out here since 1989 and this is the seventh great white I've ever seen.” The shark was released after being reeled in.
