People Think Time Travel Is Real! See Nikes In 17th Century Painting

A 17th-century painting is now giving time-travel conspiracy theorists something to banter about.

In London’s National Gallery, there’s a painting by Ferdinand Bol titled “Portrait of a Boy.”

In it, the “boy” that’s featured is wearing black shoes, one of which has a white marking on the side that some think looks like the iconic Nike Swoosh.

That’s led some visitors to speculate that this painting features the first-ever pair of Nike footwear…or that the boy was a time traveler.

Spoooky.
