Oscar-winner Al Pacino was surprised to learn that he was about to become a dad for the fourth time at 83. And while The Hollywood Reporter tells us that celebrity friend (and fellow late-in-life pop) Robert DeNiro has wished him well, there’s some drama surrounding the baby news.
It seems that the “Godfather” star demanded a DNA test to make sure he is actually the father. According to sources, Pacino was under the impression he was medically unable to father a child. To further add to the intrigue, insiders say that although 29-year-old girlfriend Noor Alfallah is eight months pregnant, Pacino only found out two months ago.
Those same sources claim that due in part to the timing and also his perceived medical condition, Pacino was “shocked” by the news. The DNA test, however, is said to reveal that the actor is indeed the father of a baby that will arrive very soon.
