Workers in Japan have a new way to quit without the conflict it takes.
A company called Exit is doing it for them.
Job hopping is not common in Japan like in the U.S. so having a company handle resigning for them is handy.
About 10,000 workers use the service every year.
Here’s how “Financial Times” describes the process “On a designated day, Exit will call a worker's boss to say that the employee is handing in their two weeks' notice and will no longer be taking phone calls or emails.
Most Japanese workers have enough paid leave saved up to cover the two-week period although some take the time off unpaid to prepare for new work.”
Employers aren’t happy with the service being used… but they have no choice
