When retired fire captain Shane Porter passed away in 2022, he left behind an unfinished project: a 1969 Jeepster Commando he had planned to restore with his family.
Family friend and high school automotive technology teacher Bob Mauger found out about the situation and decided to finish the project with his students as a part learning experience and part of community service.
After a year of hard work, last week the fully restored Jeepster was returned to an extremely grateful Porter family.
