While out for an early morning fishing trip last Friday, Charles Gregory’s 12-foot jon boat was overturned by a wave, leaving him adrift at sea for over 24 hours.
He was spotted 12 miles offshore by a Coast Guard aircraft on Saturday, leading to him being rescued from the increasingly dangerous situation.
Although he suffered from severe sunburn, bruising, dehydration, and a traumatic muscle condition, he is expected to make a full recovery.
