Moving Company Moves WWII Vet & Wife For Free

World War II Navy veteran Charles Truett Allred, who turned 100 earlier this year, and his wife of 75 years, Marilyn, decided to relocate from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to Oklahoma City to be closer to their granddaughter.

When Allred hired the moving company You Move Me, the general manager Jackie Darrough, also a veteran, insisted on performing the work for free as a gesture of appreciation for Allred's military service.

While the independent centenarian found it challenging to accept help, Darrough says it’s important to give back to those who have sacrificed for our country.
