On August 1st, Kelly Rountree heard a cry for help while playing darts and discovered a paralyzed woman trapped in the water at Stansbury Lake in Utah.
Acting quickly, he unfastened her wheelchair’s seatbelt and held her head above water until rescuers arrived and safely removed her from the lake.
The North Tooele Fire District later praised Rountree on social media, calling him a hero for his life-saving actions.
