Akron School Board members are calling for more cuts after voters approved a levy at the ballot.

Akron Public School administrators recently announced a plan to cut four-and-a-half million dollars from the budget over the next five years.

At this week's meeting, board members said the proposal doesn't address the hefty gap between the voter-approved levy and district spending.

The board says if the district cannot come up with more adequate cuts, it'll put the red pens in the hands of board members.
