Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is signing a bill into law that prohibits transgender students from using certain bathrooms and locker rooms.

House Bill 183 mandates that Ohio K through twelve schools only allow students to use bathrooms and locker rooms that align with their gender assigned at birth.

The bill also bans students from sharing overnight housing with students of the opposite sex from their assigned sex at birth.

DeWine signed the bill into law on Wednesday morning, meaning it will go into effect in 90 days.
