Twin investigations are underway after a staffer reportedly brought a firearm into a local school on Wednesday.
The resource officer at Hyre Community Learning Center contacted police yesterday to report the incident.
Akron Public Schools says the person involved is a temporary staff member and that they possibly failed to realize that they had the firearm in their bag.
No one was hurt.
The district and police are looking into the matter.
