Penguins Cut Bait With Maatta, Pick Up Winger, Pick

In a move that wasn't much of a surprise in the 'Burgh, the Penguins traded defenseman Olli Maatta to the Blackhawks over the weekend.

The team had six defenseman under contract with a seventh a restricted free agent, and the oft-hurt Finn was seen being on borrowed time with his three-million-dollar cap number.

The Penguins received Dominik Kahun and a fifth round pick in return. The 23-year-old winger had 37 points last year in Chicago.
