Jodie Sweetin is standing her ground in her ongoing feud with Candace Cameron Bure. Bure has come under fire recently after the “Fuller House” star signed a deal with the new Christian-based Great American Family network. When asked if same-sex couples would be included in programming at GAF, Bure said “I think that Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the core."
This caused a prompt backlash from other celebrities. Sweetin has already voiced her support for Jojo Siwa, saying “You know I love you,” after Siwa slammed Bure over her comments.
The actress has doubled down on her support now, and has re-shared a message from Holly Robinson Peete that said “There was a time when the words ‘tradition’ and ‘traditional’ were used to denigrate others … and we were basically told that God didn’t want equality for all.”
Bure has not personally responded to Sweetin but has released a public apology, saying “All of you who know me, know beyond question that I have great love and affection for all people. It absolutely breaks my heart that anyone would ever think I intentionally would want to offend and hurt anyone.”
For the record, Bure has unfollowed Sweetin on Instagram, but Sweetin is still keeping tabs on her former co-star.
