"Wordle" is Google's top trending search term of the year.
Wordle is a popular online game that gives players six chances to guess a five-letter word each day.
Google Trends said the word beat out terms such as election results, Ukraine, and the late actress Betty White in total U.S. searches.
Globally, Wordle led other searched terms such as the late Queen Elizabeth, the FIFA World Cup, and convicted serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.
The game was first introduced in October of last year.
