French Hospital Evacuated After Patient Walks In With WWI Shell In His Butt

A French hospital had to be evacuated after a man walked in with a World War One artillery shell lodged in his tush.

A French newspaper says an 88-year-old man went into a hospital in Toulon on Saturday to have the explosive removed, but instead triggered a bomb scare.

Patients were evacuated and bomb disposal experts were called in.

The experts soon determined that there was little possibility that the artillery would explode inside the man, and doctors were allowed to remove it.

The World War One shell measured eight inches long and two inches wide.

It's unclear how it wound up in the man's butt, but you can guess what doctors are suspecting.
