The mother of one of Jeffrey Dahmer's victims is lashing out after the actor who played Dahmer on Netflix won a Golden Globe for his performance.
Shirley Hughes is the mother of 31-year-old Tony Hughes, who was murdered by Dahmer in 1991.
She spoke to “TMZ” after the awards were handed out Tuesday and actor Evan Peters won for his portrayal in the series "Dahmer."
Hughes blasted Peters for not paying tribute to Dahmer's victims in his acceptance speech, and said, "playing killers" make "sick people thrive on the fame."
In his speech, Peters said he "sincerely hoped some good came out of" the series.
Shirley says "It's a shame that people can take our tragedy and make money.
The victims never saw a cent. We go through these emotions every day."
