The city of Philadelphia needs lifeguards for the summer pool season, and they’re apparently pretty desperate. The city’s Parks & Recreation Department told Philadelphia Magazine that they’re open to applicants that don’t know how to swim. Yes, for a lifeguard job.

The department says they’ll give any applicants that need them free swimming lessons at a local high school. The pay starts at $16 per hour with around 35 hours a week on the clock for anyone that can swim…or can’t.
