Man Sues Hospital After Seeing Wife's C-Section Surgery

Congratulations…it’s a lawsuit! A man in Australia is suing the hospital his wife had her c-section surgery in claiming that seeing the operation in 2018 caused him to have a “psychotic illness.” Anil Koppula filed the lawsuit years after the operation, adding that the incident led to a “breakdown of his marriage.”

In the documents filed to support his suit, “Mr. Koppula alleges that he was encouraged, or permitted, to observe the delivery, that in the course of doing so, he saw his wife’s internal organs and blood.” Because of this, Koppula claims “that the Hospital breached a duty of care it owed to him and is liable to pay him damages.” The proud dad is seeking $642 million in damages from the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne.
