Several Rides Close After Bear Wanders Into Disney's Magic Kingdom

An actual real-life, non-animatronic bear prompted some closures at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida yesterday morning when they found the adult female hanging out in a tree near the “It’s a Small World” ride.

This caused almost a dozen attractions to close while authorities tried to track down the animal at the park. Some of the big rides that had to shut down included Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission eventually put out a statement saying biologists and law enforcement had "safely captured" the bear and relocated it in or around the Ocala National Forest in Marion County, Florida… about an hour and a half north of the Resort.
