Hero Cop Saves Toddler From Drowning

At a birthday party in Southern Kentucky, a two-year-old boy jumped into a pool without a life jacket. When his mother pulled him out, he was blue, unresponsive, and showing no signs of life.

Just then, Sergeant Troy Truett with the London, Kentucky, Police Department stepped in. Truett quickly assessed the boy's condition, cleared the surrounding area, and started administering CPR. Thanks to his efforts, the boy regained consciousness and began breathing again.

In a post to social media, the London Police Department praised Sergeant Truett. “Sgt. Truett’s selfless act of heroism deserves recognition and gratitude from both his local community and society at large,” it reads, “His dedication to public safety and his quick thinking in the face of a life-threatening situation serves as an inspiration to us all.” For his heroics, officials plan to give Truett the Life Saving Award and Medal.
