The love keeps rollin’ in for late “Margaritaville” singer Jimmy Buffett. And, thanks to one Florida State Representative, fans may be able to roll on a highway named after the star.
Chuck Clemons filed House Bill 91 in the Florida legislature last week to name parts of State Road A1A in Key West after Buffett. Buffett named “A1A,” his fifth studio album, after the highway in 1974. If the bill passes, the road, which runs from the southern part of Key West to Fernandina Beach in the northern end, will be re-dubbed “Jimmy Buffett Memorial Highway.” A vote on the bill is expected in January.
