A 40-year-old Las Vegas man with type 1 diabetes is crediting his Apple Watch with saving his life when his blood sugar dropped dangerously low, causing him to lose consciousness and fall.
The fall detection feature on Josh Furman’s Apple Watch automatically called 911, provided paramedics with his GPS location, and alerted his mom.
While this wasn't the first time his watch contacted 911, it was the first time it saved him when he was unconscious, and now he’s spreading the word about how important understanding this feature can be, especially for older folks.
