Starting on Friday, November 10th, Walmart will introduce daily "sensory-friendly" hours in all of its stores in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
During these hours, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. local time, Walmart will create a quieter and less stimulating shopping environment by displaying static images on TV walls, turning off the radio, and dimming the lights when possible.
This initiative aims to make Walmart stores more inclusive for individuals with sensory disabilities, following positive feedback from a pilot program conducted during the back-to-school season.
The move reflects a broader trend of providing sensory-friendly experiences across various industries.
