Maui Pond Turns Pinkish-Purple Due To Drought

A pond has turned pink in Hawaii.

Kealia Pond in Maui has turned an odd shade of pink and purple due to drought conditions according to experts.

Authorities say the color change is believed to be the result of halobacteria found in waters with high salt content, which is now undiluted because of no rain in the area for quite a while.

People are flocking to see the unusual pond in droves.
