Sometimes, you can feel a huge sneeze coming on, but you might be in an environment where releasing that beast might cause embarrassing attention.

Your inclination might be to hold it in, but you should know that doing that can cause serious damage.

Case in point, an unnamed man from Scotland tried to fend off a sneeze by “pinching his nose and closing his mouth while driving.”

The sneeze he held back ended up being so intense that he “tore a 0.08-inch hole in his windpipe.”

Doctors warn that holding back a sneeze can cause a build-up that’s “twenty times higher than normal”…which can cause some serious damage.

So, next time, just let ‘er rip…and beg forgiveness later from those you distracted.
