One man's effort to kill a cockroach got quickly out of hand ending when he accidentally blew up his own apartment.
The man, a resident of the Japanese city of Kumamoto, saw a solitary cockroach in his apartment Sunday and started spraying an incredibly massive amount of insecticide everywhere.
About a minute later, the man's heating table ignited the flammable chemicals, blowing out his windows and causing minor injuries.
Several calls came in reporting the blast.
No word on the roach's condition.
Experts now warn that even spraying near electrical outlets can have the same result.
