Gold Nikes Donated To Rescue Mission Sell For Over $50k

A pair of gold Nike shoes that were donated to the Portland Rescue Mission sold at Sotheby's for $50,800.

The shoes were found in a donation bin.

They were confirmed to be Nike Air Jordan 3 Retro shoes designed for Spike Lee and his Oscar nomination.

The shoes were designed by Nike's Tinker Hatfield who has donated a previously unpublished Design Concept Board and a special box originally made for the shoes.

Hatfield autographed all of the memorabilia to add to its authenticity.
