Pay It Forward For Pets - Blaze

Meet Blaze …

Dogs, especially young pups, rely on their owner for care, safety, and guidance. Abandoning a pet can lead to injury, illness, and death. If unable to care for a pet, it's important to seek alternative solutions as leaving them on the streets should never be an option.

At nearly 1 year of age, Blaze was allowed to leave his home, daily, and spend time on the streets. Trusted to return at night, he sometimes returned but sometimes confused his route. Having navigated the streets for several days, this young, 45-pound, Terrier mix-breed boy was picked up by a good Samaritan and taken to safety.

It turns out, that Blaze is not only street savvy, but he is crate trained, potty trained, and appears to have potential with other pups; however, a “meet and greet” is always advised. Blaze loves affection and he rewards his handler with love in return. We can only imagine the discomfort this young boy endured as he hunkered down on the cold streets to rest at night and what he found to eat to sustain his innocent life.
