Family’s Cat Saves Their Dog From Coyote Attack

In Edmond, North Dakota, a cat heroically saved her family’s Havanese dog, Oakley, from a coyote attack.

The incident, which occurred last month, was captured by the family's outdoor surveillance camera. Lane Dyer, the dog's owner, recounted the event, explaining that Oakley was attacked by two coyotes while outside for a brief moment.

The family cat, Binx, intervened, chasing off the coyotes and saving Oakley, who had suffered serious injuries.

Binx, a former stray, had been living in the Dyers' backyard for some time.

Oakley received emergency veterinary care and has since fully recovered.
