Man Saves Driver After Truck Crashes Into Icy River

Earlier this week, a box truck heading through Rogers, Minnesota, lost control and ended up in the icy water of the Crow River. The truck was headed northbound toward Otsego when it struck a guardrail and veered off the road into the river.

Fortunately, a good Samaritan who saw the whole incident acted quickly to rescue the box truck’s sole occupant, the 46-year-old driver, from the frigid water. The driver was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

It took rescue crews several hours to pull the box truck from the water and Minnesota State Police are investigating the incident. The good Samaritan is being praised and is credited with likely saving the man’s life.
