Deputy Arrests DoorDash Driver, Then Delivers Food To Customer

Sometimes, “To serve and protect” includes delivering a meal.

A Kane County Sheriff’s deputy in suburban Chicago arrested a DoorDash delivery driver who was on his way to make a delivery.

After arresting the person for still-undisclosed reasons, the deputy delivered the food to the customer.

The woman accepting the delivery asked if her Dasher had an accident, and the deputy responded with “No, he got arrested, but we wanted to make sure you got your food.”

The comment from Sheriff Ron Hain? “My deputies always follow through.”
