In a show of solidarity, students and staff at Liberty High School in Peoria, Arizona, shaved their heads in the gymnasium to support beloved geometry teacher and soccer coach Tyler Hussey, who’s battling an aggressive cancer.
He recently underwent a lung removal and was receiving radiation treatments, inspiring the school community, including another student who’s also fighting cancer.
To ensure that all students had a chance to participate, the school organized three separate assemblies, which also served as fundraisers for cancer patients.
