A family of five adults and 13 children fled violence in Honduras and after having difficulties getting work permits, ended up living in a tent on the streets of Los Angeles.
The Dream Center, a local nonprofit, intervened, helping the family secure shelter, daycare, employment assistance, and help with their immigration paperwork.
The family's situation has improved with support from the Dream Center and the city of L.A., giving them greater hope for a better future for their children.
