Carnival Cruise Ship Rescues Men From Gulf Of Mexico After Their Boat Sinks

Earlier this week, two men were rescued from the Gulf of Mexico by the Carnival Jubilee cruise ship after their boat sank off the coast of Isla Mujeres, Mexico. The men were stranded and were relying on a small kayak for survival. The cruise ship's crew spotted them, quickly rescued them brought them on board, and provided medical care and food.

The Jubilee’s staff, along with Carnival's Fleet Operation Center in Miami, coordinated with Mexican Navy officials to arrange a transfer for the rescued men. The unidentified men were safely transferred shortly after the rescue.

Following the rescue, Carnival Jubilee, the company’s newly introduced cruise ship with a capacity of around 6,400 guests and 1,750 crew members, continued its travel itinerary, heading to Roatan Island, Honduras, the next day. This is the second rescue at sea for Carnival in two months. The Carnival Vista saved six men near the Dominican Republic in December, demonstrating the cruise company's commitment to the safety and well-being of people in need at sea.
