A police K9 named Biza in Auburn, Massachusetts, played a crucial role in locating a missing 12-year-old. Last Wednesday evening, The Auburn Police Department received a call about a child who had been missing for a couple of hours. Due to the freezing temperatures, they immediately initiated a search, involving their officers and the Massachusetts State Police.

Auburn K9 officer David Llunggren and Biza were brought in to aid in the search. The female German Shepherd was able to pick up on the child’s scent and follow the trail for more than two miles, leading officers to an area containing evidence that the child had been there earlier. A thorough search of the area led officers to locate the tween.

The Auburn police later announced that the child had been safely reunited with their family, attributing a significant part of the success to K9 Biza's hard work and dedication. The department expressed its pride and satisfaction with the positive result of the mission. Biza, who joined the Auburn Police Department from Germany in 2022, has become an invaluable asset to the team.
