Indiana Officer Adopts Dog She Found With Zip-Tied Snout

South Bend, Indiana, Police Officer Stephanie Northcutt recently responded to a call about a Doberman with its snout zip-tied shut. Despite previous failed attempts by bystanders, Northcutt successfully gained the dog's trust and safely caught him. She even comforted the dog, as shown in a heartwarming video the department posted online.

After being taken to the South Bend Animal Resource Center, the dog, now named Zeus, found a new home with Officer Northcutt. She felt an immediate connection with him, seeing him as the perfect addition to her family. Fortunately, Zeus is recovering well and won't face any long-term effects from his ordeal.

This isn't the first time Officer Northcutt has stepped in to help animals in need. She previously adopted a dog she rescued while on patrol. Inspired by Zeus's story, she plans to sponsor two adoptions at the animal shelter to further support the community. The South Bend Animal Resource Center later took to social media to thank Northcutt for her kindness and compassion.
