The Florida Man Games are off and running in St. Augustine, Florida with activities that include mud wrestling, evading police through an obstacle course, and a robbery relay where competitors steal bicycles, copper pipes, and catalytic converters.
Marketed as “the most insane athletic showdown on Earth,” Organizer Pete Melfi says of the big weekend event, “We kind of give a person an opportunity to live a day in the life of ‘Florida Man’ without ending up in a cop car,” adding, “There’s typically drugs and nudity, but the city frowned on it when I asked for drugs and nudity.”
