A Reddit post about a salon tip has people angry.
A guy posted on the End Tipping subreddit shared that he got an inexpensive haircut at the salon and when handed a tablet to pay, the suggested tips made his jaw drop.
For his $15 cut, the options were 50-percent, 70-percent, or 90-percent.
OP shared a screenshot of the tip choices and luckily “Custom” and “No Tip” were also on the screen.
Commenters were stunned, with one noting “The fact that they pre-loaded such high tip amounts should really be a red flag to never go back there. Sounds like a certain someplace needs to get over themselves.”
A recent survey shows 30% of Americans think the tipping culture is out of hand.
