After spending nearly 600 days in an Ohio animal shelter, Chester the pit bull, who had a rough start in life, finally found his forever home. The pup left the Euclid Animal Shelter in style, in the back of a limo being cheered on by shelter staff and supporters. Despite his challenging past, he now has a fresh start and a loving family.
Found in a vacant house with three other dogs, Chester was in poor condition, but shelter workers nursed him back to health over 10 months. Despite the ordeal, shelter staff say the pup’s spirit remained strong, and he greeted his new family with enthusiasm as he arrived at his new home in the limousine.
Chester's new owner, Lauren Reitsman, was deeply touched by his story and is committed to providing him with a loving home. She sees adoption as crucial, especially for animals like Chester who have faced adversity. Reitsman plans to give her new companion a happy life filled with love and special treats.
