Authorities in Oklahoma recently rescued a dog that had been injured by a train and stuck on the railroad tracks for three days. The rescue, captured on a body camera, shows Deputy J. Hutton of the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office and Wagoner Police Captain B. Harding working together to save the animal.
Unable to reach the injured dog with a patrol unit, the officials called for a side-by-side vehicle, which can access difficult terrain. With the help of Lieutenant J. Halfacre, they successfully rescued the dog from the tracks and reassured it that everything was going to be okay.
Following the rescue, a family member took the dog to a veterinarian for treatment. The authorities are optimistic that the pup will make a full recovery.
