Attorney Malcolm LaVergne, a lawyer who represented O.J. Simpson until his death last week from cancer, said yesterday that the former NFL star’s body will be cremated.
LaVergne, the executor of Simpson’s estate, says they’ve had at least one request to be allowed to study Simpson’s brain as part of research into chronic traumatic encephalopathy that’s associated with behavioral and cognitive issues related to repeated head injuries.
The lawyer said there are tentative plans for a “celebration of life” gathering for just close friends and family.
