Single Mom Who Took Uber To Work Given New Car By Boss

On Wednesday, Brettne Brownson, an employee at Homebridge Health Care Agency in Norfolk, Virginia, was given a new SUV by her boss, CEO Latavia Bennette. Brownson had been struggling without a vehicle, relying on Uber, Lyft, and walking to get to work.

When she learned of Brownson’s transportation challenges, the boss felt compelled to help. She quickly arranged to purchase the SUV and presented it to Brownson at the office. Bennette commended Brownson's dedication and positive attitude, noting that she consistently showed up to work without making excuses.

Bennette shared that her own experiences of feeling unsupported in her career inspired her to create a nurturing environment for her employees. She stresses the importance of making her employees feel valued, saying, "I had moments where I didn't feel valued where I was at, so when I opened up my company, that was something that was very important to me."
