Restaurant’s “Bluey Day” Causes Huge Backlash

A Las Vegas restaurant has underestimated the popularity of “Bluey.”

The Dirt Dog restaurant was trying to capitalize on the Aussie kid's show popularity by having a “Bluey Day.”

It turned into chaos after poor execution.

It touted that “Bluey” characters would be on hand, there would be a watch party and more.

The character was a bearded guy in a Bluey onesie and the watch party consisted of some TVs with the show on mute.

Then there were store-bought cupcakes for $3.50 each. Needless to say, kids were left crying and screaming and parents were furious. A staffer noted that they had no idea what the show was even about or that it was huge.

The Dirt Dog posted on socials in response to massive roasting, “We are truly sorry this event wasn’t the expected experience. We were overwhelmed with the turnout to this event. We will continue to improve on our events so we can ensure nothing like this will happen in the future.”
